About Me

A little over a year after finishing my degree in Fashion, I gave birth to my son. It wasn’t long before my dreams of working for a large fashion house started to shift and I found myself trying to find ways to work in fashion whilst staying home with my son full time.

That’s where the idea of Lolly & Bean came from. I could do what I love, while being the mum I wanted to be and I could offer something unique to other mums; A childrenswear brand created by a mum, with children at the absolute heart of it.

I wanted to create something my son could be proud of and a brand which helped the planet he’ll grow up in, rather than hurt it.

I design, pattern and make every piece by hand before packaging it up and sending it out to you. My photography and editing skills have been put to the test and I create all of the images you see from Lolly & Bean (Thanks to my little in house model, Bean!) So when you buy from us, you really are supporting a small business.

No warehouses, no large manufacturers. Just a mum, her sewing machines and years of experience.

I can’t wait for you to join us on this great adventure!

Creating Lolly & Bean

Lolly & Bean, like many brands, started with a small idea in the middle of the night. I still remember pitching the idea to my fiancé at 11pm one Thursday night with just a simple sketch and a name. The rest came together over the next few weeks with evenings spent creating patterns, nap times spent sewing and my partner working into the night developing the Lolly & Bean logo.

As we started to develop the idea further, we realised that we wanted to create a brand which wouldn’t contribute to the damage the clothing industry can cause to our planet, but instead helped create a greener future. So we set off to source high quality sustainable fabrics, sustainable packaging and even look at ways we can reduce fabric waste. We wanted Lolly & Bean to align with OUR values.

Patterns were made, samples were created and photoshoots were taking place every chance we got. Our next step was to create a website which could showcase Lolly & Bean and everything we stand for. That’s where Owain, my fiancé came in. His extensive experience in Graphic and web design and his belief in the brand led him to create this beautiful website and bring Lolly & Bean to life.
